In 1993, I completed a doctoral program in clinical social work specializing in the clinical treatment of children/adolescents and families at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to this, I also completed two master's degree programs at the University of Pennsylvania, one in psychological services in education in 1984 and the second master's degree in clinical social work in 1988. My doctoral dissertation was a qualitative, longitudinal study investigating the relationship between divorced fathers and their children.

I began the first ten years of my career as a psychotherapist evaluating and treating children, adolescents, and families in an outpatient clinic at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. In 2002, I started my private practice in Bucks County, PA, specializing in psychological treatment of children, adolescents, and families.

I continue to treat children and adolescents with behavioral issues, academic problems, and mood disorders, providing both individual psychotherapy and family therapy. I have expanded my clinical practice to the treatment of specific areas of need for families of divorce. These areas of specialization include treating children/adolescents in families of divorce, co-parenting counseling for parents of divorce, divorce mediation for separating couples, and reunification counseling for parents and their children who have become estranged because of divorce.

I have also developed a forensic subspecialty in my clinical practice which includes child custody evaluations and parenting evaluations. I will also serve as an expert witness in divorce cases.

In addition, I provide mental health evaluations for individuals in court-related matters.
